MARCEL CASTRO [DIVINAGRACIA], aged 22
Senior Rider, Cetan Division (Squad: Monkey Eaters)

Mia's childhood best friend who, like Mia, changed his last name to represent him turning his back on his family, and becoming the only "brother" that Mia has left. Marcel is a Changing Breed - one of the Chervalier Repace and a Philippine Eagle like herself.

Marcel and Mia are about as different from each other as night is to day, but that only runs as deep as the surface. He's her second-in-command, and was, for the longest time, the only person Mia could trust with her intimate secrets and with her very life.

YUKITO & YURIKO KUROGANE, aged 18
Senior Riders, Cetan Division (Squad: Monkey Eaters)

The Kurogane Twins - Corvian Changing Breed who both took the form of crows - were picked up by a Rider squad 2058, two years before the Darkest Vigil - they were war orphans, and had, until the Midnight Riders had taken them in, survived by scavenging and theft on the battlefields close to Japan. They were adopted by the blade leader of the squad that had recovered them, and started training with the Riders immediately.

Yuriko and Mia became fast friends during their time in the Academy, and Yuriko quickly dragged her brother into Mia's circle. They serve as the scouts of the team.

SAKI AZAD, aged 15/100
Senior Rider, Cetan Division (Squad: Monkey Eaters)

A Changeling of the Elemental Seeming whose parents unwittingly sold her into marriage at the age of 15 to one of the Gentry. The Midnight Riders recovered her mostly by accident: a blade of Dullahan had followed the trail of a missing blade straight into Arcadia, and ended up liberating Saki from the harem of her "husband".

While Saki is techncially the "youngest" member of her blade, Mia and the rest make it a point to NOT baby her due to the century she spent in Arcadia. She's the one who keeps everyone together, and is often viewed as the glue that gells the Monkey Eaters into the effective squad that they are.

EDRICK CHENG, aged 20
Senior Rider, Cetan Division (Squad: Monkey Eaters)

The only son of a pair of honest entrepreneurs who used all of the resources they had at their disposal to get their son out of China. He had discovered the gift of flight at the age of 6, and neither of his parents wanted the Chinese government to "process" him. Unfortunately, his parents were arrested for treason, and executed.

Edrick joined the Midnight Riders in order to become a Keeper of the Vigil and prevent more kids like him from losing their lives or seeing their loved ones suffer. His cheerful disposition disguises the resentment he feels towards his country, and other countries like his own.
